I don't think it's safe to say that I have an actual "BUMP" yet because it comes and goes. I wake up looking super skinny, and I go to bed looking like I'm 6 months pregnant. My pregnancy weeks change every Thursday, so the following pictures were all taken on Thursday evenings, usually after a hefty meal :) You might notice that I live in my lululemon sweats!
7 weeks
8 weeks
9 weeks
10 weeks
11 weeks
12 weeks
13 weeks
14 weeks
15 weeks
16 weeks
There you have it. This Thursday I will be 17 weeks, so I will try to post more consistent bump pics from here on out!

Drumroll please... We're having a BOY!!
That's right, we're TEAM BLUE! :)
Blake went and bought me a giftcard to an adorable little ultrasound place in the Heights called Precious Glance. This was a Christmas gift to me because neither of us could stand to wait till 20 weeks to find out (which is when the OB requires me to get an Anatomy Scan). Precious Glance requires you to be 16 weeks pregnant to come in for an elective ultrasound to determine the sex of your baby, so what did I do? Scheduled my appointment for 16 weeks and 1 day, of course!
We went in on Friday, 1/14 when I was 16w1d pregnant. The tech began the ultrasound, and within minutes our baby was showing us the goods! The lady had NO trouble finding his "parts", and she quickly told us that we are having a baby boy! At first I was completely shocked!! I was 100% positive that I was having a girl. According to all of the old-wives tales, the baby inside of me was a GIRL, but the ultrasound quickly revealed that I was dead wrong!
I have never seen Blake smile so much in my life. He thought he was never going to get his little boy... but now we know that 6 months from now our STUD of a son will be joining us! We were so sure that it was a girl that we had NO ideas for boy names. We did have a long list of potential names, but none of them were sticking. On Saturday I told Blake his assignment was to figure out the perfect name while I was at work...
After much research and digging, Blake came up with a name that he was obsessed with: Briggs. I wasn't sold at first, but it started to grow on me. By Sunday we both decided that our son will be named Briggs Sterling Searcy! He gets his daddy's middle name :)
Here's the first pair of shoes I bought Briggs. Couldn't resist :)

Why hello blog, it's been a while
Apparently I am not the best pregnant blogger. I thought I would maintain it a lot better, but clearly after 2 months of not posting, that is not the case. Today I got a wild hair and decided to write a new post!
So here we are, 1/11/11, and I'm 15w5d pregnant. In some ways I feel like time has flown by, but in other ways it seems like it's going at a snail's pace. The birth of our child seems soooooo far away, but I know it will be here in a flash. Up to this point I have been very lucky and have felt great throughout most of the pregnancy. I did have a lot of nausea in the 1st trimester, but it was only in the evenings. No morning sickness for me! I also lucked out by only getting SICK for 2 days, and it was when I was 9 weeks pregnant. My biggest complaint has been exhaustion. Pretty sure I would function best with about 14 hours of sleep every night :)
Blake and I purchased a fetal heart doppler online for $50, so every night we get to hear that precious heart beating away. Maybe we're nuts, but infertility really makes your crazy and paranoid, so we figured hearing that heartbeat every night would keep our mind at ease. It's the sweetest sound on earth!
This week I will be 16 weeks pregnant which means it's time to find out the sex of the baby! We are scheduled to find out on Friday, 1/14 and we will reveal the results to our family and friends later that night. Fingers crossed for a cooperative baby and clear results! I'm still waiting for my belly to pop out. I tell myself I'm showing, but the truth is I just look like I ate too many burritos. Can't wait to have a legitimate belly! Pics coming soon.
So...what's it gonna be??? Team PINK or Team BLUE??? Until next time...
